Liverpool started strong as Diaz capitalized on Salah’s deflected cross, bundling the ball into the net for his first goal of 2025. Diaz then won a penalty after being fouled by Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa, with Salah stepping up to convert from the spot and double Liverpool's lead before halftime.
