US President Donald Trump has appointed Kash Patel, a 44-year-old Indian-American lawyer, as the new FBI Director. Patel was sworn in as the ninth director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation on Thursday, expressing deep gratitude for the support of his family throughout the confirmation process.

Born to Gujarati parents in Garden City, New York, on February 25, 1980, Patel has built a notable career in law and national security. His confirmation hearing also brought attention to his girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins, a country singer and press secretary for Republican Representative Abraham Hamade, who attended alongside his family.

Who is Alexis Wilkins?

During Patel’s confirmation hearing, Alexis Wilkins became a trending topic online, with many curious about her background. Wilkins is a prominent country singer, songwriter, and commentator. Beyond her music career, she works as the press secretary for Republican Representative Abraham Hamade, establishing her place in political circles.

Wilkins' debut EP, along with her Veterans Day tribute song, has received over 1 million streams across major platforms. She has shared the stage with country stars like Chris Young, Joe Nichols, Sara Evans, and Parmalee. Raised in Switzerland and England, Wilkins later moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where she studied business and political science at Belmont University.
