Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have been married for over a decade, and their approach to each other’s steamy on-screen moments highlights their strong bond.

In an interview with E! News on February 17, Bell shared that their "foundational trust" allows her to feel secure, even when Shepard shares intimate scenes with other actresses. "Even if Dax hooks up with the most beautiful person in the world at work, I know he's committed to our family," said Bell, who is 44. "I know he's coming home. I know he loves our children. I know he strives to be a great husband and father."

Bell also emphasized that they communicate openly about any insecurities that arise. "We’re just human, right?" she said. "So maybe there could be a day where I'm like, 'I'm actually really nervous that you spend time with that person.' And he could say, 'Oh, OK, let's talk about it. What makes you nervous? What are you thinking?' We have a very open communication."

As for Shepard’s on-screen chemistry, Bell admitted that she was all for it when he shared a passionate kiss with Minka Kelly in Parenthood. "We root for each other," she said. "When he got to make out with Minka Kelly on Parenthood, I was like, 'Yes. Get it.' We're married, we're not dead."

Recently, Bell’s own on-screen romance with Adam Brody in Nobody Wants This has caught attention. Bell reassured Shepard by saying there’s no threat in her chemistry with Brody, revealing, “Dax knows there’s no real threat there, because Adam and I, if you were to see us in person, there is not chemistry. We bicker all the time. We’re like an old granny and grampy. It’s not hot and heavy on set at all.”

While this might disappoint some fans of the show, it’s likely to offer comfort to Shepard—and Brody’s wife, Leighton Meester!

Bell and Shepard first crossed paths in 2007 at a mutual friend's birthday party, but it wasn’t until later at a hockey game that their romance sparked. Bell recalled the moment in 2019, saying, "I got a text that says 'Hi, my name is Dax. I violated your privacy and got your number from Shauna. How do you feel about that?' And I was like, 'Excuse me? You sound stimulating.'"

Despite some early jealousy issues, as Shepard confessed on The Drew Barrymore Show in 2021, the couple has stayed strong over the years, celebrating 17 years of love and commitment.
