The Hollywood Bowl has unveiled its 2025 summer season, featuring exciting events like a free concert for first responders and fire victims, as well as a special production of Jesus Christ Superstar with Cynthia Erivo, known for her role in Wicked.
The LA Phil's upcoming season marks Gustavo Dudamel’s 16th and penultimate year as music and artistic director. Before the season officially begins, the Bowl will host "We Love LA," a free concert on April 1 to honor the firefighters and those affected by the January wildfires. Dudamel will conduct the Los Angeles Philharmonic, joined by special guests yet to be announced.
Kim Noltemy, president and CEO of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, expressed her gratitude for the community’s resilience, emphasizing how their efforts inspire the upcoming 2025 season of joy, discovery, and celebration.
Dudamel, who will take on a new role as the conductor of the New York Philharmonic in 2026, is set to lead eight performances with the LA Phil and Venezuela's Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra in August. These performances will include a mix of classical pieces, including Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 and Ravel’s Boléro.
