Fans flock to limited ticket sales to catch Jack White’s performances and see the debut of his new Fender Custom Shop Triplecaster.

Jack White is making waves in Chicago with surprise performances and the unveiling of his latest guitar, the Fender Custom Shop Triplecaster. The former White Stripes frontman is set to perform two unannounced concerts this week, delivering his signature sound and fresh material.

White will take the stage at Reggies Chicago, located at 2105 South State Street, on January 28, followed by a performance at the Metro Chicago, located at 3730 North Clark Street, on January 29, 2025. Tickets for both shows will be available online starting at 1 p.m. on January 28. A limited number of student tickets, priced at $25, will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Students must present valid ID to purchase one ticket each.

This surprise event comes alongside the announcement of White’s new Fender Custom Shop Triplecaster guitar. White shared a preview of the model on Instagram, showing off its innovative features and comparing it to previous versions he’s been using on the road. "Too many interesting features to mention right now, but this new creation is at NAMM right now at the Third Man Hardware booth for you to play," he teased, sparking excitement among fans and guitar enthusiasts alike.

The Triplecaster’s design, handcrafted by Fender Custom Shop master builder Chip Ellis and pickup designer Tim Shaw, incorporates several modifications from its predecessor. Notably, the guitar eliminates visible screws and pole pieces on the front for a cleaner look.

One of the most unique features of this model is its pickup configuration. It includes a CuNiFe Wide Range humbucker at the neck, a JW-90 middle pickup, and a custom Jack White humbucker at the bridge. The guitar also showcases White’s signature partially scalloped fretboard, a feature that has become a hallmark of his recent designs.

Fans attending the Chicago concerts will not only enjoy White’s electrifying performances but also get an exclusive look at the new Triplecaster. This event marks another milestone for White, who consistently pushes the boundaries of music and guitar design.
