The Bachelor Recap: Grant Gets Comfortable with 25 Possible Wives

Grant Ellis, a 31-year-old day trader, kicked off his journey to find "love" on The Bachelor this week. Known for driving a Ferrari (but also a sensible car, mind you), he started the night with a strong first impression thanks to his supportive family and a particularly heartwarming moment with his grandmother, Corine.

The episode begins with a nostalgic hit — "Whatta Man" by Salt-N-Pepa — playing over shots of Grant striking poses during photo shoots. If you need a reminder, Grant was previously on Jenn’s season (though his intro package conveniently skips that detail), and he’s a basketball fan who also values his elders.

Speaking of his elders, Grant shares an emotional moment with his grandma Corine, gifting her his first-ever rose as a symbol of his love. The tears come early — and keep coming — as Grant opens up about his childhood struggles with his father’s addiction. The emotional scene is undeniably touching, with his dad expressing pride in Grant’s growth and the hope he’ll be a better father than he was.

But let’s move on from the tear-jerking moments and dive into the drama! The women arrive, each with their own unique twist: some bringing quirky gifts, others throwing playful banter. Litia, a venture capitalist from Utah, gifts Grant a sparkly basketball, while J’Nae from Chicago creates an air of mystery by throwing powder in the air. One standout moment comes when Alexe introduces her “no-drama llama,” Linda, sparking mixed reactions from the other women. Unfortunately, Linda doesn’t stick around long, but she sure made an impression.

There are awkward moments, too, like when Parisa presents a very uncomfortable PowerPoint about their future, complete with AI images of a pregnant Grant. Not to be outdone, Allyshia shares her powerful story of being raised by a single mother, earning a kiss from Grant in the process. The romantic connections continue as Grant shares his first kisses of the season with Allyshia and Juliana, who bonds with him over their shared love for music.

Meanwhile, Zoe brings a T-shirt cannon to mark her territory (yes, really), while the women scramble to retrieve their T-shirts from the backyard. The entrance parade is full of quirky moments like this, but ultimately, the night builds to Grant handing out his First Impression Rose. After some deep conversations about family and his values, Alexe receives the coveted honor.

As the episode winds down, it’s time for the rose ceremony. A few contestants, including Linda, unfortunately, don’t make the cut. The remaining women, including Alexe, move on to the next phase of Grant’s journey.

So, what did you think? Who are you rooting for? Did the llama make a lasting impact, or was it all about the emotional moments with Grant’s family? Sound off below!
