Rachael Kirkconnell is ready to share her side of the story with Alex Cooper.
The 28-year-old former Bachelor finalist is set to appear on Cooper’s popular podcast, Call Her Daddy, as announced on Instagram on Monday, January 27. The episode will be available to stream on YouTube starting Tuesday, January 28, at 9 p.m. ET.
The Call Her Daddy Instagram teased the episode with a caption saying, “It’s her turn to speak,” alongside a clip of Kirkconnell wearing off-white "UNWELL" sweatpants, preparing to be interviewed by Cooper, one of the top podcasters in the U.S.
Currently in the spotlight due to her recent breakup with Matt James, Kirkconnell has also been making headlines after rumors circulated that she was seen with James in New York City over the weekend. Photos of the two sparked social media chatter, but Kirkconnell quickly denied the claims, writing on Instagram, “Hmm wasn’t me lol.”
Earlier this month, James, 33, shocked Bachelor fans when he announced the end of his four-year relationship with Kirkconnell. In a heartfelt Instagram post on January 16, he wrote, “Father God, give Rachael and I strength to mend our broken hearts...and remind us that our Joy comes from you, Lord.”
James shared the breakup alongside a throwback photo from his season of The Bachelor in 2021, where he gave Kirkconnell his final rose. However, their relationship faced controversy after racially insensitive social media posts from Kirkconnell resurfaced, leading to their split before the After the Final Rose special. The couple eventually reconciled months later.
Despite the seeming abruptness of the split, a source told Us Weekly that it wasn’t entirely unexpected. “The split may seem abrupt, but this has been brewing for a while. It was a long time coming,” the insider shared. “Matt just couldn’t commit to her.” The source also noted that Kirkconnell struggled to trust James toward the end of their relationship but is now ready to move on, understanding that the breakup is “for the best.”
