Stephen Stills & Graham Nash Join Dawes for FireAid L.A. Benefit Concert
Rock legends Stephen Stills and Graham Nash joined Dawes during their set at the FireAid L.A. Benefit Concert at the Kia Forum on Thursday night (Jan. 30), making for an unforgettable performance.
After Dawes opened their set with "Time Spent in Los Angeles," the Los Angeles folk-rock band, who experienced heartbreaking losses in the recent wildfires, invited Stills and Mike Campbell on stage for a rendition of "For What It’s Worth," originally by Stills' band, Buffalo Springfield. Nash then joined the stage, expressing his pride in supporting Los Angeles during tough times.
“Whenever the city of Los Angeles faces challenges, musicians are right there,” Nash shared, before the group launched into Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young’s classic “Teach Your Children.” The audience at the Forum joined in, singing along to close out the mini-set.
Dawes had previously performed “Time Spent in Los Angeles” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Jan. 13, shortly after some of the band’s members lost homes and musical equipment in the fires.
The FireAid Benefit Concerts began with performances by Green Day, Alanis Morissette, Joni Mitchell, and Anderson .Paak. Later on Thursday, Gracie Abrams, Rod Stewart, Lady Gaga, and Olivia Rodrigo are among the artists slated to perform at the Intuit Dome.
