Pete Davidson Makes Expensive Move in His Sobriety Journey

Pete Davidson Makes Expensive Move in His Sobriety Journey

American comedian Pete Davidson is investing significantly in his path to a healthier life after his rehabilitation stay in the summer of 2023.

According to People, a source shared that the former Saturday Night Live star spent $200,000 to remove over 100 tattoos that cover much of his body. "He just woke up one day and wanted them gone, and it’s been a years-long process," the source revealed.

This update comes after Pete's appearance on Today Friday, where he opened up about his tattoo removal experience, calling it "pretty terrible." He showed off the faded ink on his arm, advising anyone considering getting a tattoo to think carefully: "Make sure you really want to get it."

Davidson, now 31, has been sober since the fall of 2024 and has regained some weight, signaling a smooth transition to a healthier lifestyle.

Pete chose to remove his tattoos as part of a fresh start. "Things are really going well for him, everything is moving in the right direction, and he’s been receiving fantastic reviews for the movie," the source added, referring to his new film Dog Man.

In a previous interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Pete explained that he decided to remove his tattoos to avoid potential film role conflicts and to no longer rely on hours of makeup for coverage.
