Jensen Ackles Confirms Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins for The Boys Final Season, and Their Video Is Pure Gold

Supernatural fans, if you're not already watching The Boys, now might be the perfect time to dive in with your Amazon Prime subscription. After Jensen Ackles joined The Boys in Season 3 as the Captain America parody character, Soldier Boy, it’s now been confirmed that his Supernatural co-stars, Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins, will join him in the show's fifth and final season, currently in production. Ackles made the exciting announcement with his former Supernatural castmates, and it's absolutely delightful.

The Boys Instagram account surprised Supernatural fans with a video where Jensen Ackles tells Jared Padalecki that they have “work to do.” In the clip, Padalecki responds sweetly by saying, "I gotta tell Misha." Then, Misha Collins jumps in with the perfect response: “What are we doing?” before the The Boys logo pops up. It's the ultimate tease confirming that the full trio from Supernatural will reunite in the final season of The Boys. The Instagram reactions say it all:

If you're familiar with The Boys, you may not be too surprised by this reunion. The show was created by Eric Kripke, who also co-created Supernatural, and having worked so closely with Ackles and Padalecki, they’re practically family. After Ackles was cast as Soldier Boy, he talked about the possibility of bringing Padalecki onto the show as well.

Now, fans of Supernatural are getting the ultimate crossover, with both Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins set to appear in the final season of The Boys. While their exact roles are still under wraps, Entertainment Weekly reports that they will appear as guest stars. Given that Kripke is behind both projects, there’s sure to be some clever nods to their time on Supernatural.

With the events of The Boys Season 4 bringing Soldier Boy back into the mix, fans are hoping the three actors will have intertwined storylines. And since Soldier Boy is getting his own spinoff series, could this mean the boys are setting up yet another show? The Supernatural fandom would absolutely explode in the best way possible.
