Corsair Clarifies Comments on GTA 6 PC Release Date, Speculation About Early 2026 Launch

Corsair has issued a clarification regarding recent statements made by one of its executives about the release date of Grand Theft Auto 6 on PC.

In a financial call, Corsair's VP of finance, Ronald van Veen, mentioned: "Yeah, GTA 6 is probably the one everyone is talking about. And we’ll get a glimpse of that, I think, later on in the year for console. My understanding now it’s going to come out in the fall for console, and then early 2026 for PC."

This remark generated headlines, suggesting Corsair had insider information about the release window for GTA 6. However, a Corsair representative later told IGN that van Veen’s comment was purely speculative and emphasized that the company has not received any official release date from Rockstar or Take-Two.

Take-Two recently confirmed GTA 6 is set for a fall 2025 release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, despite rumors of a potential delay. However, the PC version of the game has not yet been announced, leading to speculation.

While Rockstar has historically avoided releasing its games on PC simultaneously with console versions, some fans have hoped that GTA 6 would mark a change in this approach. Take-Two's CEO, Strauss Zelnick, hinted at the game’s eventual PC release, pointing to the studio's historical pattern of starting with one platform before expanding to others. This suggests that PC players may have to wait until 2026 or later to play GTA 6.

In December 2023, a former Rockstar developer addressed the delay of GTA 6's PC version, urging players to "give the studio the benefit of the doubt" regarding the launch plans.
