Lucasfilm will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith with a special re-release in April 2025, featuring an immersive 4DX experience. This limited one-week engagement will kick off on April 25, 2025, and will include a new poster designed by Matt Ferguson, highlighting key moments from the prequel trilogy.

For the first time, audiences will be able to experience Revenge of the Sith in 4DX, an immersive format featuring motion chairs and over 21 synchronized special effects. From the epic battle over Coruscant to Anakin Skywalker's pivotal duel on Mustafar, the 4DX experience will heighten the intensity of this significant chapter in the Skywalker saga.

In addition to the re-release, graphic artist Matt Ferguson has created a new poster to commemorate the event. The artwork captures the emotional depth of the film, showcasing Anakin Skywalker (played by Hayden Christensen) under the shadow of Darth Vader’s mask, alongside Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) and key battle scenes.

“The space battle and Mustafar elements are really complex, with many more ships and explosions than in my other Star Wars posters,” Ferguson shared. “This is the movie where Anakin’s story unravels completely.”

Released in 2005, Revenge of the Sith is widely regarded as one of the strongest films in the prequel trilogy. Set during the final days of the Clone Wars, it chronicles the fall of the Jedi Order and Anakin’s tragic transformation into Darth Vader under Emperor Palpatine’s manipulation.

Fans eager to revisit the epic conclusion of the prequel trilogy can catch the film in select theaters for one week only, beginning April 25, 2025.
