‘I Told Him to Turn Away’: Jessica Williams Hilariously Yells at Harrison Ford During SAG Awards Speech
During her speech at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards, Jessica Williams was interrupted by none other than Harrison Ford. The moment quickly became one of the evening’s highlights.
At the ceremony, where actors often share personal stories about their careers, Williams, a nominee for her role in the ensemble cast of the Apple TV+ comedy Shrinking, was delivering her speech when Ford, sitting just behind her, was seen munching on a chip. As the audience erupted in laughter, Jessica jokingly yelled, “I told him to turn away! Don’t look!”
Williams had begun her speech with, "Los Angeles is known as the city of dreams, and, sure enough, all of my dreams have come true here. From my dream of preparing..." when the amusing interruption occurred. Harrison, looking a bit sheepish, turned his head and hid behind her, much to the delight of the crowd.
Undeterred, Jessica continued, humorously adding, “From my dream of preparing in a Starbucks bathroom before an audition to my dream of crying in a Del Taco bathroom afterward.” She also shared a funny anecdote about performing a monologue while the casting director casually ate a salad.
The moment sparked a wave of fan reactions, with one commenting, “These two…you have no idea how much I love them!” Another fan joked, “Harrison turning around to eat is a mood.”
This year’s SAG Awards, hosted by Kristen Bell, has already seen Shogun lead the evening with four wins. In the film categories, Kieran Culkin won Best Supporting Actor for A Real Pain, while Zoë Saldaña took home Best Supporting Actress for Emilia Pérez.
