News broke last night that Kathleen Kennedy plans to retire from her role at Lucasfilm and Star Wars by the end of the year. While an official announcement has yet to be made, speculation is already swirling about who could take over, and one name that has emerged is Marvel’s Kevin Feige.

Missed Opportunity for Feige?
However, some speculate that Feige may have missed his chance to take over the Star Wars franchise, especially given the challenges facing the MCU after Endgame. THR reports that Feige is currently focused on revamping Marvel, including the retooled Daredevil: Born Again (set to debut next week on Disney+), the upcoming Fantastic Four relaunch, and a new wave of Avengers films.
