Netflix's 'Nadaaniyan' Actress Apoorva Mukhija Returns to Instagram After India's Got Latent Controversy: "Even Walls Have Ears"

Apoorva Mukhija, known for her role in Netflix's Nadaaniyan, has made her return to Instagram following the backlash from her appearance on the now-deleted episode of India’s Got Latent alongside Ranveer Allahbadia. After the controversy erupted last month, Apoorva took a break from social media.

On March 13, 2025, Apoorva shared a cryptic message on her broadcast channel, Rebellions, which read, “Diwaaro ke bhi kaan hote hain” (Even walls have ears). This message sparked curiosity among her followers.

She also expressed gratitude towards her supporters, writing, “So thank you,” marking her first direct communication with her audience since the controversy.

Despite being part of the cast of Nadaaniyan, Apoorva has been notably absent from the film's promotional activities and hasn't been tagged in any of the movie's social media posts. This comes in the wake of the India’s Got Latent controversy.

Apoorva, a former computer science engineer turned content creator, is known by her Instagram handle, The Rebel Kid, and has 2.7 million followers. She holds a BTech in Computer Engineering from Manipal University, Jaipur, and has previously worked as a web developer, marketing intern, and sales engineer analyst.

Originally from Delhi, Apoorva moved to Mumbai after completing her undergraduate studies. She rose to fame during the COVID-19 lockdown for her relatable content and has since gained recognition for her mini vlogs, candid storytelling, as well as her fashion and travel content.

Apoorva was included in Forbes' Top 100 Digital Stars of 2023 and secured the eighth spot on the Forbes 2024 Creator List. After receiving the honor, she shared, “Look maa, I am on Forbes India again. This is my second year on the list, and so much has changed in the past year. In fact, the last year was my most difficult one professionally.”
