Aamir Khan says he’s ‘committed’ to partner Gauri Spratt, downplays marriage plans: ‘At 60, shobha nahi deti

Aamir Khan expressed his commitment to his girlfriend Gauri Spratt, downplaying any plans for marriage: "At 60, I’m not sure if marriage suits me." During a press event ahead of his 60th birthday, Aamir introduced Gauri to the media, revealing that they started dating over a year ago after reconnecting through his cousin, Nuzhat Khan. He humorously referred to their relationship by quoting his Lagaan character, saying, “Bhuvan ko uski Gauri mil hi gayi (Bhuvan finally met his Gauri).”

Aamir shared that Gauri isn't much into Hindi films, but recently watched three of his movies—Dil Chahta Hai, Lagaan, and Dangal. He also mentioned his hope that she watches Taare Zameen Par, his directorial debut. Gauri, who lives in Bengaluru, was previously married and has a six-year-old son. The couple described their relationship as "committed," with Aamir joking about keeping it a secret for over a year, saying, “I didn’t let you all know anything.”

Aamir revealed that his family is supportive of their relationship, and his children get along well with Gauri. She’s also met his close friends Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. When asked about marriage, Aamir expressed contentment with Gauri, saying, “I feel settled with her,” but added, “I’m not sure if marriage is appropriate at my age.”

Aamir has been married twice before—first to Reena Dutta in 1986 (they divorced in 2002) and then to Kiran Rao in 2005 (they parted ways in 2021). He remains on good terms with both ex-wives and describes his relationships with them as "enriching," saying, “I’ve been fortunate to be in strong relationships. With Gauri, I feel settled.”
