How many points did Bronny James score? Full stats and highlights for LeBron's son in Lakers vs. Nuggets
After a few games back in the G League, Bronny James made his return to the NBA on Friday night as the Los Angeles Lakers faced off against the Denver Nuggets.
With LeBron James absent from the game (he was attending his son Bryce’s state championship game) and Luka Dončić sitting out, Bronny had the opportunity to log extra minutes with the main squad.
Bronny may not have posted eye-popping stats, but his performance still had a positive impact on the game, despite the Lakers falling to the Nuggets 131-126.
Bronny James Stats vs. Nuggets
Bronny James played 16 minutes against Denver, setting a new career high in the NBA. Here are his stats for the game:
- 5 points
- 2 rebounds
- 1 steal
- 1-5 FG
- 1-5 3FG
- 2-2 FT
- +8 plus-minus
Two aspects of Bronny’s performance stand out. First is his shooting. It’s clear that Bronny’s role was to catch and shoot, and while his efficiency wasn’t great, it was positive that he kept shooting with confidence.
The second key stat is his plus-minus. While not always a perfect metric, it's interesting that Bronny’s +8 rating was higher than that of Dalton Knecht, who played 36 minutes, scored 32 points, and posted a -2 plus-minus.
This was the third time Bronny scored at least five points in an NBA game. His other five-point performance and his career-high nine points both came earlier in the season (February 12).
Bronny James Highlights vs. Nuggets
Bronny had one memorable moment during the game: his only made field goal. Austin Reaves passed him the ball in the left corner, and Bronny sank a 3-pointer over Nikola Jokić.
