"The Traitors" Season 3: How the Traitors' Strategies Fell Apart
Season 3 of The Traitors was a chaotic one, with the Traitors turning on each other more than they targeted the Faithful players. Their individualistic, often uncompromising strategies ultimately led to their downfall, costing them the grand prize of up to $250,000. In the end, the Faithfuls—Gabby Windey, Dylan Efron, Dolores Catania, and Lord Ivar Mountbatten—took home the win. Here’s a look at how each of the five Traitors was eliminated one by one.
Bob the Drag Queen
Bob the Drag Queen, a fan favorite and RuPaul's Drag Race winner, was the first to be banished, leaving the Traitors in Episode 4. Bob’s downfall came after an offhand remark about needing "a head" to point out a potential Traitor. This comment caught the attention of Survivor legend Boston Rob Mariano, who saw an opportunity to turn the other players against Bob. Rob successfully campaigned for Bob’s elimination, and Bob was voted out during a tense roundtable. Before leaving, Bob made a memorable jab at Dylan Efron, joking that his brother Zac might be a famous actor but wasn’t “a good one.”
Boston Rob Mariano
"Boston" Rob Mariano, known for his strategic prowess on Survivor, was next to be banished in Episode 7. Despite his early successes, including eliminating fellow Traitor Derrick, Rob’s aggressive play began raising suspicions among the Faithfuls. His campaign to target Bob, combined with the murder of Derrick, made him an obvious target. In the end, Tom Sandoval and several other players—like Danielle and Carolyn—aligned to vote Rob out, marking the end of the Survivor star’s reign on the show.
Carolyn Wiger
Carolyn Wiger, who had kept a low profile for much of the season, was banished in Episode 9. Carolyn’s downfall came after a series of missteps, including a game of human chess where she failed to keep her cool. A rift with fellow Traitor Danielle, who had proposed bringing in Britney Haynes to the Traitor group, also led to her downfall. Carolyn’s inability to defend herself convincingly during the roundtable sealed her fate, and despite a split vote, Danielle ultimately convinced the Faithfuls to vote her out.
Danielle Reyes
Danielle, the Big Brother alum, managed to make it to the finale but was the first Traitor to be eliminated in the final round. Despite a few close calls earlier in the season, Danielle’s dramatic reaction to other Traitors’ eliminations raised suspicions. Her close bond with Britney, coupled with her dramatic fall during Carolyn’s banishment, made her a target. When the Faithfuls split their votes between Ivar and Danielle, Dylan’s decision to vote for Danielle, along with Gabby and Britney’s support, led to her exit from the show.
Britney Haynes
Britney, who had joined the Traitors later in the season, was the final Traitor to be eliminated. Despite her short stint, she had managed to form an alliance with Danielle, but her betrayal of Danielle in the finale turned the remaining Faithfuls against her. Boston Rob had hinted earlier in the season that Britney might be a Traitor, and this doubt lingered among the group. In the finale, Britney's argument defending her actions didn’t convince the others, and she was unanimously voted out, leaving the Faithfuls to question whether there might be another Traitor still in the mix.
