Manamey Now Streaming on OTT: Where to Watch This Delayed Sharwanand Film Online

After a long wait, Manamey, the 2024 romantic drama starring Sharwanand and Krithi Shetty, is finally available for streaming on OTT, six months after its theatrical release.

Originally released on June 7, 2024, Manamey had an average box office run. Now, the film has made its way to Amazon Prime Video, after a delay caused by financial disagreements between the makers and the streaming platform. The film, which was initially scheduled for a July 2024 release, is now available for viewing starting March 7, 2025.

This marks one of the longest waits for a Telugu film's OTT release in recent times. A similar delay was seen with Akhil’s Agent, which will premiere on Sony LIV on March 14, 2025.

Directed by Sriram Adittya, Manamey features Sharwanand in a captivating role that earned him significant praise. Krithi Shetty plays the female lead, complementing Sharwanand's performance with her screen presence. The film, shot entirely in London, is known for its beautiful visuals and soulful music. However, despite its appealing production values, the film’s conventional storyline led to a modest box office performance.

In Manamey, Sharwanand portrays a charming young man who unexpectedly takes on the responsibility of caring for his friend's son, with the help of Krithi Shetty's character. Hesham Abdul Wahab’s music adds to the film’s emotional depth, enhancing its appeal.

Produced by T.G. Vishwa Prasad under People Media Factory, Manamey had a large budget but did not perform well enough at the box office to break even. Now that it is streaming on Prime Video, it remains to be seen how it fares in the digital space.

With Thandel, Naga Chaitanya’s blockbuster, now streaming on Netflix, Manamey will face stiff competition on the OTT platform. It will be interesting to see how both films perform in the coming weeks.
