Taylor Bowl II Falls Flat

The Taylor-Travis Bowl 2 was a far cry from its more jubilant predecessor.

Last year, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce shared a passionate kiss on the field at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, while red and gold confetti rained down after Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs clinched their second consecutive Super Bowl victory, marking the couple’s first public moment together as a sports-and-music power duo.

This time around, however, there was no celebration to be had for the pair following the Chiefs’ 40-22 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Unlike last year, when cameras focused on Swift throughout the game, showing her winning a beer-chugging contest and partying with celebrity friends like Blake Lively and Lana Del Rey, this year she found herself facing boos from the pro-Eagles crowd when shown on the big screen in the Superdome during a first-quarter break. Sitting next to rapper Ice Spice, Swift gave a side-eye and wrinkled her nose in reaction to the jeering.

By the second half, the cameras largely avoided her.

Early on, speculation swirled about whether Kelce might use the moment to propose after the game, as he sought his third straight Super Bowl title and fourth overall. There were 8/1 odds for those willing to bet on it.

But that possibility faded quickly as the night wore on.
