Taylor Swift Calls Eras Tour the 'Toughest' as She Wins Tour of the Century
Taylor Swift marks the two-year anniversary of her Eras Tour with a major win at the 2025 iHeart Music Awards
Taylor Swift took home the prestigious Tour of the Century award at the 2025 iHeart Radio Music Awards on Monday, March 17, in recognition of her groundbreaking Eras Tour.
The singer-songwriter, known for hits like Cardigan, accepted the award virtually from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, where she expressed heartfelt thanks on behalf of her entire team. Reflecting on the monumental success of the two-year-long tour, Swift shared her gratitude, saying, “I can’t tell you how much this means to me, because this is for my tour mates, all my fellow performers, my band, everyone who toured with us, our crew.”
Swift also noted the special timing of the award, as it marked the two-year anniversary of the first show of the Eras Tour. She admitted to doing a lot of reflection since stepping off the road, considering the immense effort behind the tour.
“I’ve done a lot of processing these past few months,” she said. “And this tour was absolutely the most challenging thing I’ve ever done in my life. It’s a 3.5-hour show, more shows than I’ve ever done on tour.”
The 14-time Grammy winner acknowledged the difficulties she faced during the extensive tour but emphasized how fulfilling it has been, adding, "People often say that the greatest challenges in life end up being the things you’re most proud of, and if you can rise to the occasion, the reward is worth it. And this tour was definitely that for me.”
She also gave a heartfelt shoutout to her fans for their unwavering support, saying, “It blows my mind. I’ll never stop being grateful for it, and I appreciate this more than you know.”
After her speech, the award show aired a clip of her Mirrorball performance from the opening night of the Eras Tour in Glendale, Arizona, back in March 2023.
